I am very frustrated with this faucet. For some reason it comes with no valves. It's just a decorative shell with faucet and handles. no working parts. I had to spend $90 to buy the valves that come with it. The valves that arrived force me to hire a plumber, as they need welding to operate. I have a kohler faucet for the up bath that came with valves and easy connect tubes. They need to pull this item off their shelves.

The water comes out at about a 30 degree angle and the handle very easily goes to full-on, so be careful when rinsing things off that you turn on the water and adjust the pressure *before* sticking the bowl or cup under the stream, or you'll find yourself splashed. Otherwise, the faucet is easy to install and appears pretty well-built. Note that the water supply tubes are 18" and not replaceable, so if you need longer tubes you'll need a separate extender.

Product is attractive and works very well. The only downer is that the spray attachment is plastic, rather than metal. Despite the plastic, it does work with no problems. I would definitely recommend this. You can pay a whole lot of money for similar items, but this Kohler is the tops.

The KOHLER K-12171-CP Fairfax Single Control Kitchen Sink Faucet is a great faucet. It looks good, has simple effective movement, and the faucet itself is shaped to fit conveniently in the sink with pans and dishes of various shapes.Where the faucet lacks is in its inner workings, where the water flow is adjusted from hot and cold. There is a small flow area that is made of brass instead of stainless steel. In our acid waters, that area corroded, and the faucet then leaked. I thought it was the valve, and I ordered the Kohler GP77548 Kohler Coralais Valve Kit and replaced the valve. The faucet still leaked. Then I found the corrosion, and ordered another faucet, since I liked the faucet.However, on installing this one, I found that the stainless steel feeder hoses are now nylon, and one of them kinked upon installation. I'm concerned that this change in hose material may just be a cost savings, and I hope the hoses will work well. I'm keeping the old stainless steel hoses, just in case I need them.So, I still give the faucet 5 stars because it seems better than the competition, but I would like those problems I mentioned fixed.

I purchased this faucet back in 2002. The looks of the unit are great (w/ have the brushed nickel faucet.) However, as similar reviews have indicated, the quality of this unit is fair at best. We have taken full advantage of their lifetime warranty repair service. We have replaced the faucet handle three times, and now the base of the faucet has locked in place (it will not swivel from left to right any longer.) At this point, I have asked them to send me a brand new one as I am sick of refurbishing the old unit.If I new what a pain this faucet was and had to replace it every three years, I would have not purchased it.

This faucet is extremely good looking with a very durable spout and handle. The sprayer hose is better quality then expected and it is very easy to replace sprayer after use without it getting hung up. The force of the water coming from spout is stronger then my old Delta and am very happy we chose this one. The Kohler quality shines brightly here. I would highly recommend.

I bought one of these for my bathroom. I was amazed to discover it was plastic, coated with metal plating. I, also, had to replace the aerator, and had the same problems. This unit doesn't leak, thankfully, but I believe that is due to the fact that I did not purchase a single-tower unit, which I did for my kitchen. Big mistake, as noted, below.For my kitchen, I bought the Kohler Fairfax kitchen faucet. When I disassembled unit to investigate a leak in the tower (which other owners have also reported) I discovered that this kitchen faucet is also plastic. Worse, it's unrepairable because their are few gaskets and washers. So, I have to buy a new kitchen faucet.You can bet I'm buying a Moen.

Kohler Fairfax widespread polished chrome lavatory faucet with polished brass accents is heavy, well-designed and elegant.
